For modafinil, the post-market reporting rate of TEN and SJS exceeds the background incidence rate (1-2 cases per million person-years) in the general population. Psychiatric Symptoms Psychiatric adverse experiences have been reported in adult and pediatric patients treated with modafinil. WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS: Serious Rash, including Stevens-Johnson Syndrome Serious rash requiring hospitalization and discontinuation of treatment has been reported in adults and children in association with the use of modafinil.
